The Rural Prosperity Center (RPC) delivers a dynamic portfolio of culturally and linguistically responsive programs designed to close digital, economic, and leadership gaps in rural communities. Key initiatives include Digital Navigators and Digital Literacy programs, which offer one-on-one guidance and interactive workshops to help individuals confidently navigate technology in daily life, work, and education. In collaboration with local community-based organizations, RPC funds Digital Navigation Centers across 11 counties, working to ensure reliable access to internet connectivity, digital devices, and tools while advocating for infrastructure that reflects the unique needs of rural residents. Mujeres in Agriculture y Más empowers rural women through leadership development, entrepreneurship training, and wellness education grounded in cultural identity. Through its partnership with SoCalREN, RPC connects communities to energy efficiency education and workforce development in sustainable infrastructure. The E-drop program promotes digital equity and environmental sustainability by organizing responsible electronic waste recycling, distributing refurbished devices, supporting the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs), and facilitating the installation of EV charging stations in underserved areas. It also helps small businesses retrofit and upgrade for energy efficiency. Finally, Entre RAICES: RPC’s entrepreneurial incubator, supports rural innovators, particularly from underrepresented backgrounds, with business coaching, startup training, and culturally rooted mentorship to launch ventures that uplift and reflect their communities.
